CACI, the developer of Osiris (a student management app used by millions of students worldwide), faced a major technical challenge. The app, which allows students to view their grades, schedules, and other study data, needed to be migrated to a modern version without any loss of functionality.

Need
There was a need to migrate the outdated Ionic 3 applications to Ionic 7, including Angular technology. It was crucial that the migration take place without disrupting ongoing services: the business had to continue ‘as usual.’ The client was looking for a flexible, technically strong team that could immediately operate as an integral migration team within the organization.
Result
Oscar assembled a team of four Angular developers from Nepal and served as the CTO himself. This team worked virtually but was fully integrated into the CACI team. Within eight months, the team successfully migrated the sixty (custom) apps to Ionic 7, without any loss of functionality. The apps remain compatible with both Android and iOS, maintaining the specific user interfaces for each institution. Thanks to the seamless collaboration and the technical expertise of the team, CACI was able to continue its services to students without interruption.
